A Space for Youth to be Themselves
"The Commodore Club is a community-based afterschool program serving students in the Addison Northwest School District (ANWSD). Operated by the City of Vergennes Recreation Department, the program provides a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where students can participate in structured recreation, enrichment activities, and social connection. The Commodore Club is designed to remove barriers to participation by offering affordable programming, strengthening partnerships between schools and the community, and supporting the social, emotional, and physical well-being of youth during critical out-of-school hours."
A Day At The Club
Every day, our youth have the opportunity to engage in many different activities. We serve a snack free-of-charge to our youth, and this meal is often based on youth input. Youth are able to play video games, do homework, participate in arts-and-crafts, do their homework, and just “hang out” with their peers.
